Scorpio season

Welcome to Scorpio season!

When the sun moves into a new sign the collective focus shifts, as sun brings the themes of the sign into our conscious awareness.

We’ve just balanced and harmonised our lives for the last astrological month in Libra season.

We’ve had the opportunity to examine how we work in partnership with others, and in the process uncovered some deep truths about ourselves that we may not want to even acknowledge.

This is the painful beauty of Scorpio energy. It gets down to the deep core of our own behaviour that is holding us back. What needs to be transformed? What needs to be transmuted?

It’s often those painful truths about our patterns of thought and behaviour that we don’t want to face. This is because growth is uncomfortable. Surrendering into the unknown and breaking out into a new way of being feels unsafe, and most feel better staying out of the deep Scorpionic depths because of the inevitable crumbling of the ego that follows. It’s when people like to hide away in the process of awakening.

They may not even consciously realise that that is why they are resisting change and surrender. And even if they are aware of this, they are painfully aware that letting go of the ego personality that they have built up around past wounds to protect themselves hurts big time.

This Scorpio season, notice your triggers. Do you feel like reacting like a scorpion flicking its tail in some situations and with certain people? This is especially around themes of power, joint resources, esoteric knowledge, and our deepest desires and fears.

When things have been hard for me in my life, my father always said ‘rise above the ordinary.’

To rise out of the pain and turn it into becoming extraordinary.

I also feel that this quote from Sri Aurobindo related very well to Scorpio season:

‘No one can reach heaven who has not passed through hell.’

You can stay stagnant here in what you dislike… because it’s familiar even though you don’t like it… or endure a painful transcendence into a rebirth. It’s unfamiliar, you don’t know what’s going to happen, it’s a leap of faith.

But it’s so worth it.

Rise above.

Let what you haven’t wanted to face bubble up to the surface to be transformed.
